BACKSTAGE DRESSER FOR VARIOUS FASHION SHOWS
With extensive backstage dresser experience, I've had the privilege of contributing to the seamless execution of prestigious events such as Singapore Fashion Council Gala, Front Row: TOMO KOIZUMI,MBS Little Luxury 2023 and TP Design Fashion Show at Orchard. My role involved ensuring that models were impeccably styled and ready for the spotlight, while also assisting with quick changes and backstage coordination. I as head dresser for the Front Row and little luxury fashion show i had to manage my dressers, assign roles and communicate with vent organisors on the show. Additionally, I had the opportunity to support BASIC model trainee shoots, further refining my skills in wardrobe management and attention to detail. These experiences have not only solidified my proficiency in backstage operations but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the artistry and precision required in the world of fashion events.
CHAIRPERSON OF OPEN HOUSE FASHION SHOW 2024
As the chairperson of Open House Fashion Show 2024, I had the privilege of leading a dynamic team in organising a memorable event that showcased my course's creative talent and vibrant community spirit. Collaborating closely with my course mates, I oversaw every aspect of the show's planning and execution, from conceptualising themes to coordinating runway logistics. Through meticulous attention to detail and effective communication, we delivered an immersive experience that captivated our audience and left a lasting impression. This role not only honed my leadership and organisational skills but also deepened my passion for the fashion industry, reaffirming my commitment to pursuing a career in this dynamic field.
PRESIDENT OF APPAREL DESIGN & MERCHANDISING INTEREST GROUP
Serving as the President of my course's Apparel Design and Merchandising interest group has been an enriching experience that allowed me to contribute significantly to our academic community. From organising events such as the Design Runway, crochet parties, and course-related workshops, coordinating our participation in external events and sales of self-made items to drive donation. I've had the opportunity to foster a sense of camaraderie and learning among my peers. Additionally, I led efforts to curate engaging and educational content for our course's official Instagram, @tp.des.adm ensuring that our social media presence effectively communicated the vibrancy and creativity of our program. Through these initiatives, I've not only enhanced my leadership and organisational skills but also deepened my passion for promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing within our academic community.
QUATERMASTER OF DESIGN STUDIES CLUB
Serving as Assistant Quatermaster of the Design Studies Club has been a rewarding journey where I have made props and decorations to decorate the school for different events such as halloween, Prom, Project Rejuvenate and so on. I had to overseeing all the logistics that is reqired for these events and many times i have handeled with speakers for the performances we have in these events. I honed my skills in creating an atmosphere and logistics coordination. Additionally, I gained valuable experience in taking care of techniqual equipment, handling admin work when communicating to the school staff when borrowing these techniqual equipment. I have gain the skill of good communication and teamwork among my fellow school mates.
PROGRAMME HEAD OF DESIGN ORIENTATION CAMP 24/25
As the Programme Head of the Freshmen Orientation Camp 24/25, I had the privilege of planning the programme flow and games for the incoming freshmen to the School of Design. In this role, i am overseeing the meticulous planning of activities and excution for the Freshmen Orientation camp. We have planned very interesting and fun games for the freshmen to play and have also made all the props and game materials needed for the gameplay and atmosphee of the game to make it feel more alive and engaging. I honed the skills in event managment and logistic coordination. Additionally, i gained valuable experience in handling official documents and administrative skills but i have also learned critical thinking as the programme flow tends to not go as plan due to unforseen circumstannces i have learned to adapt quickly and move on. I have also fostered teamwork and creatvity in delivering a memorable game for the incomming freshmen.
